How do I change a report to always go to another printer? Return to Top
To change a report to always print on another printer you will have to go to
the Record Keeping Menu, D-System Operator Menu, 7-Setup Menu and then 8-Setup Printers
to Print option.
AVAIL uses printer profiles, a printer profile is a list of report and the
printers that they will print on. After a profile is setup then you assign
that profile to different users if they need the same printer routing.
If you enter profile 1 you will see all the reports and the printers assigned
to print them. Profile 2 could be very much the same as 1 except the picklist
prints on a different printer. This profile would be assigned to other users.
You may setup 5 or so printer profiles and then assign them to all your users.
But remember if you change where a report prints in one profile that will
affect all users that use that printer profile.
The option 8-Setup Printers to Print option will allow you to assign printer
to report for a printer profile. To assign a printer profile to a user take
option 1-Configuration Menu and then option D-Setup Network User Info. Enter
the users main menu mail code and then an IP address if you use static IP
address. Next select the menu opions this user should have and press enter.
Next is the printer profile question. To see all the profiles in use go to
option B-User Profile Menu and take option 6-List of User Profiles. The right
column will display the printer profile for all users. If its blank no profile
has be assigned to that user.
This change will not take affect until the user exits AVAIL at the main menu and return to AVAIL.
