To use the new mail system you will need to get everyone out of AVAIL and get to an AVAILBD> prompt and type MKAVMAIL This will convert your old mail files to the new format. Next you need to turn the default on in AVAIL while at the AVAILBD> prompt, type AVMENU and go to the Record Keeping Menu, then D for System Operators menu, then 7 for Setup Menu, then D for Defaults Menu. The default we are interested in is in the System Defaults. Towards the bottom of the list there should be a default titled "Use New Mail System", set this to Y and then reboot the THEOS machine. You will now be using the new mail system.

To add email addresses to customers and orders you will need to run a fix program at the AVAILBD> prompt. At the prompt type the command FIXSETEB this will ask you if you would like to 'allow AVAIL Email tracking', answer Y and the program should expand a data file for you and then complete. You will now be able to assign email addresses to customers on orders. If you would like to email quotes by using AVAIL, please contact Micro Innovations for more information.
