To download TWS from our web site go to www.avail-software.com and click
on the Downloads link. Then select the version of TWS that you need. If
you are on THEOS 4.1 and on a local network download tws23400.exe. If you
are running THEOS 4.2 or accessing your AVAIL over the internet then you
need to download tws30014.exe.
If you are running Corona then you need to download tws316.exe.
To find the version of THEOS you are using press shift F2 at the main
menu.

When you download TWS it will open a box to allow you to Open or Save. Select
Save. The next box note the directory that the program is being saved in and
click on Save. Next double click on the TWS program that you just downloaded
to install it. Use the default setting for all questions, at the end of the
install do NOT check the box Make a Shortcut on Desktop or Put Shortcut
on Task Bar. Now go to My Computer, click on C then Program Files then
Ast then THEOS Workstation. Find the yellow cube labeled theosws.exe and
right click on it. Take Send To and select Desktop. This will make a shortcut
on your desktop. Close all this and return to your desktop. Right click on
the shortcut and take the Rename option. Name this icon AVAIL.

Double click on the AVAIL icon you just created. This will open TWS. Answer
no to the questions about notes and latest releases. Now you should be on
the screen with the logo and large TWS. At the top find the Configuration
tab and click on it.
Click on Display, only change the fields and setting
that are listed here, all other setting should stay at their defaults.
Select under Font Type Terminal and size of 14. This should give you a
full size screen without scroll bars at the bottom or right side. Some
users may be able to select another font and size that better fits their
screen. Under Window Title select Fixed Name and type in AVAIL. Click on
OK.
Click Configuration, Preferences. In the Connection Type box
click on the drop down arrow and select your computer off this list. Even
if your computer showed up when you entered this screen you must still
open the list and select it again. If your computer is listed twice on
the list once with DWM select that on if you are using TWS 3.00.14.
If you are connecting to the AVAIL server from the internet you will
have to type in the IP address.
In the Features box enter IPL for the Account. Put a check in
Exit on Disconnect and Autodisconnect. In the Slave printer box mark
THEOS as the driver and put a 9 in the number box. Change the Class to
248. Now click OK.
Click Configuration, Special Keys. Place a check in Alt and
F1 then click OK.
Click Configuration, Miscellaneous. On Gen & Conn Features remove
the check from Serial support. Click on the Distributed THEOS Support,
uncheck and box that is distributed and check the box ignore unsupported
DWM features. Click on the Extended Connections tab. If you are accessing
your AVAIL from the internet and have installed TWS 3.00.14 then put a
dot in T-Windows, check Connection to T-Windows is preferred and TCP. If
using TWS 2.34 leave the defaults. Click OK.
Click Options tab at the top. Go to Save Profile on exit and select Do
not save profile.
Click File then Save As. Name the file AVAIL and click Save.
Click on the x at the top right of TWS to close and return to your desktop.
Right click on the AVAIL icon and select Properties, add to the end of the
target line a space then AVAIL and click OK. Now when you click on the
AVAIL icon on your desktop it will use the AVAIL profile to configure your
TWS the correct way to run AVAIL.
